Artemis Optical Customer Statement On The COVID-19 Coronavirus

Coronavirus Statement

Updated 25th March 2020

At Artemis, supporting our customers is a key priority, and our team is hard at work to avoid disruptions from the COVID-19 virus while at the same time acting responsibly to do what we can to prevent further spread and protect our employees’ welfare. We continue to closely monitor and assess the evolving situation and will be diligent about communicating with affected customers regarding shipment timing or other issues resulting from this situation.

Our Employees

Artemis is committed to providing a safe environment for our employees, their families and the communities in which we operate. We have asked our employees to work at home where possible to reduce transmission risks and to keep them safe. We want our employees to work from home safely and comfortably.

Artemis has banned all international and national travel by air and rail for the foreseeable future. All customer communication will be handled via e-mail, phone and video conferencing, until such time that Government advice states differently. No visitors will be allowed onto site, essential deliveries will continue, using sensible distancing measures.

Our Human Resources policies have been loosened to allow for those who require to self isolate or require time to provide childcare or look after elderly or vulnerable relatives.

Our site

Some Artemis employees might be unable to perform work from their homes. Our site remains open, and we have taken additional precautions to protect our workforce. This includes ensuring that only those employees who are absolutely essential to the continuity of production are on site, even then this is at a much reduced level where only one shift is working per day. Whilst on site, employees have ample access to hand cleaning products and our cleaning staff are focussing their efforts on door handles and other high touch areas. We have banned the use of the fingerprint scanner for the foreseeable future. Obviously, employees are asked to maintain the 2m exclusion distance.
